Napolcom Regional Office 3 lies int the vast plains of Central Luzon, an administrative division or region of the Philippines which contains the largest plains in the country and produces most of the country’s rice supply, earning itself the nickname “Rice Bowl of the Philippines”.
Region 3 is located north of Metro Manila, bordering Central Luzon are the regions of Ilocos, Cordilera and Cagayan Valley to the north; National Capital Region and Calabarzon to the south. It is surrounded by waters of Manila Bay to the south, West Philippine Sea to the west and the Philippine Sea to the east. It is composed of seven (7) provinces namely: Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales and two (2) highly urbanized cities of Angeles and Olongapo. It has a total of 12 component cities, 116 Municipalities and 3,102 barangays.
NAPOLCOM RO3 plays a vital role in the administration of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) as police service highly contributes to the overall development and productivity of the Region. Being one of the country’s important trading centers and transportation terminals for products. Access to all cities and municipalities of the region are made easy thru land travel facilitated by a network of well-paved and extensive highways and roads, especially with the operation of the Subic Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX). Both expressways provide an alternate and faster route for travelers going to north.
With the Central Luzon as gateway to the north, Region 3 remains a primary region that plays a primary role in the attainment of economic development of the country. Which can only be achieved and sustained with peace and order thru and effective and efficient law enforcement. With this NAPOLCOM Region 3 maintain its mission to exercise administrative control and operational supervision over the PNP, to ensure a highly capable, effective and credible police service in Central Luzon.
